Royalty visit Hunstanton Primary School!

On Friday, we were really excited to welcome Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex to open the new part of our school. When they arrived, they cut a ribbon across the entrance to KS 1. Two of our class were chosen to hold the ribbon as they are Children’s University Ambassadors.

The royal couple then toured the school, spending some time in each classroom talking to the children. When Prince Edward came into our class, we were making collage pictures of Greek monster.  The Prince talked to each table about the work we were doing and what we knew about the monsters we were making.

After visiting the classes, Prince Edward and the Countess went into the Hall to hear the choir sing and to sign the visitors’ book. The choir sang one of the carols they are preparing for the Christingle Service and also sang Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer complete with red noses!
